Arizona Rail Passenger Association
I'm no different than you. I'm sick and tired of fighting traffic and breathing dirty air. That's why I strongly support our citizens and their Plan to Relieve Traffic Congestion -- and urge you to vote YES on Propositions 1 & 2.
Unlike extravagant proposals of the past -- driven by politicians -- this is a no-nonsense, yet visionary way to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality.
But that's what we'd expect when everyday citizens roll up their sleeves and attack community problems. In fact, Proposition 1 was designed by a committee of over 600 citizens from across the city -- and their vision of our future is undoubtedly the same as yours: Less traffic congestion and cleaner air.
They propose:
It's a good plan. It makes sense.
I am proud to be Mayor of this great city. As Phoenicians, we have always risen to the challenges facing us. With leaders like Barry Goldwater and Mo Udall, we made our community blossom with water from the Central Arizona Project Canal. Now, our challenge is to literally keep Phoenix moving by expanding transportation choices and cleaning up our air.
I want the same thing for your children that I want for my triplets and their older brother and sister. So while each of us will benefit immediately once this measure is passed, the greater achievement will be the gift that we'll be giving our children: A more liveable community with cleaner air.
Please, vote YES on Propositions 1 & 2 -- the Phoenix Citizen's Plan to Relieve Traffic Congestion.
