Williams Junction

After the Santa Fe rerouted all main line trains on the new bypass around Ash Fork, a station was built on this site to accomodate connections between the transcontinental streamliners and the Grand Canyon trains and buses. Only the foundation of this station now remains.

In 1999, with co-operation of the Grand Canyon Railway, Amtrak built a new platform and began serving the station with the Southwest Chief on 2 August 1999. A connecting van is offered to the town of Williams.
