The above photo depicts Tucson's Southern Pacific Station as it appeared for ARPA's special train from Phoenix in 1993.
The TALGO demonstration of 5 May 2000 ran a round-trip between Phoenix and the Tucson depot.
The Station is located in downtown Tucson. Today, Amtrak's Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle call here.
The City of Tucson purchased the Southern Pacific Depot has converted it to a multi-modal transportation center. The grounds also house the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum.
Just a few blocks away is the Old Pueblo Trolley line. The Old Pueblo Trolley is looking into extensions at both ends, which would connect the Trolley to the Depot and the adjacent Ronstadt Transit Center on the south, and to the University of Arizona on the north and east.

December 10, 2000. Historic locomotive relocated to depot grounds - the
first visible sign of the upcoming redevelopment.
