The Maricopa station site has easy access from state Route 347, although unfortunately there are few nearby accommodations. It is as yet unclear what connections will be available from metro Phoenix.

The Maricopa depot is located in Pinal County, several miles from the Indian casino. Population of Maricopa is less than 300 (1990 Census) but there are thousands of new homes being built nearby.

ARPA supports Maricopa in its efforts to provide better rail passenger service to Phoenix even as we seek to restore trains directly through downtown Phoenix and other Valley cities.

Map

In this map, Phoenix Union Station, the Tempe depot, and Coolidge are shown with red dots. The approximate Metro Phoenix urbanized area is shown in green. Maricopa is really thirty miles in the desert south of Phoenix.

The historic Casa GrandeCasa Grande SPRR depot meanwhile sits empty and unused.
