William Lindley on Light Rail

Letter, The Arizona Republic, 15 February 2000

I read in today's paper how the cost of light rail has increased since the 1997 proposition. Our highways in Maricopa County cost much more because we waited so long to build them.

Citizens of Phoenix should ask themselves, if we continue to wait to build the rail system we so desperately need, how much more will it cost in a few years when we finally decide to say Yes?
