Richard Thomas

Biography

(1998) Mr. Thomas is a transportation professional and an advocate of passenger rail. He served as Public Transit Director for the City of Phoenix from 1984 to 1995 and previously held positions at Denver's Regional Transportation District and the City and County of Denver. He was an advisor to the 1993 Joint Legislative Study Committee on Passenger Rail, an advisory member to the 1996 Phoenix Rail Transit Study, a delegate to the 1997 Arizona Town Hall on Transportation, a member of the Governor's Rail Transportation Task Force in 1997 and 1998, and currently serves on the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Transit Subcommittee.
